I am an American artist who has been creating art for most of my 74 years.   These days I predominately am a painter, but still work occasionally in furniture repurpose and design.  My current projects are layered paintings done in acrylic on canvas, marine vinyl or masonite.  Every year or so I start honing a new technique and by consequence my work, while mostly abstract, takes on new forms and shapes.  My lived experience and observation of the current world climate informs the joy, anger, hope and fear I hope the public feels and interprets in my work.

My work has been featured at Huff Gallery at Spalding University, Urban Design Studio, Kentucky Artisan Center, Berea, KY, Big 4 Bridge, Shine House Gallery, Flux 1619 and Alley Gallery.

I am a graduate of Kent State University and have lived in Rock Island, IL, Atlanta, Lancaster, PA, Detroit, Washington, D.C., & Melbourne, FL.  I currently reside in an renovated church built in 1863 in Louisville, KY.  I have been a printmaker, worked for Phillip Morris and the YMCA, driven a laundry truck, written copy for New Holland Farm Equipment, owned a Midcentury Modern furniture store, been a landlord, owned a neighborhood bar, painted houses and am now retired.  This full life of travel and work has given me fodder to keep painting for many years to come.
